No Fate!: Only the Power of Will

No Fate!: Only the Power of Will is a light visual novel that originated on PSP and Xbox 360 with a sci-fi elements and a typical gameplay system for similar games in the genre. As such it features many background CGs with on-screen characters which all have full voice-acting except for the protagonist. On-screen text may be toggled off to get better view of the background CG event. The game does not feature branching story nor multiple endings, and instead tells fairly linear story. During the dialogues, certain keywords get highlighted and added to your stock where they can be further examined to provide additional relevant information.

The story revolves around a high-school student, Takaya Takayama, who one day while searching for his notebook stumbles upon a girl from outer space. Her name is Mabel, and her space ship has disappeared and until she finds and retrieves it, she decides to stay with Takaya at his place. Thus, Takaya's life of day-to-day boring student life gets filled with lots of unexpected and vivid events, and the relationship between Takaya and Mabel slowly takes turn toward something more than just friendship.
