It features the characters Richard Batsbak, Gerrie van Boven, Rikkert Biemans, Barrie Butsers, and Robbie Schuurmans, who had previously appeared in television sketches and two feature films. The game was positioned as a follow-up piece of media after the end of the New Kids films and concert events.
