About

Instead of porting the console versions, NASCAR SimRacing was independently developed with a focus on more realism. EA revamped the entire NASCAR physics engine, introducing a much requested "drivable oversteer" feature that allows the player to drive out of oversteering situations. A full career mode is finally included for the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, Busch Series, and NEXTEL Cup Series, all with fully compliant rulesets. Graphics and sound were also updated to feature full support for advanced vertex and pixel shading and 3D spatial sound support.

This version features 23 tracks and multiplayer support for up to 43 players in the same race.
