Namco breaks the "Family" naming convention of its Famicom sports lineup for this golf entry. Namco Classic features a Tournament mode where you compete with the AI player in a 18-hole course or a "Round Play" mode where you can practice the same course alone or play in hotseat multiplayer. Before starting, you have the option to create your own character and customize the club selection in your stand bag, or select from a list of premade golfers.
