Mysterious Song

Mysterious Song is an RPG strongly influenced by the style of the early Final Fantasy games. You control the knight Spear who is given a mission by king Algameth IX to investigate the increase of monsters ravaging his land. In his quest, Spear will have two companions who will fight alongside him. The combat is turn-based, with a simple magic system based on spell points. Tiger, one of the party members specializes in physical combat, while the other - Ryanna, is a mage. Spear is a more balanced character.

In development for 7 years, the TurboGrafx CD version upgrades the visuals of the original DOS version and adds voice-acted cutscenes, CD music, a balanced mode which is less difficult to play than the original, as well as an armory, bestiary, concept art and an EX Game mode with a new storyline and gameplay elements which is unlocked after clearing the game in Original mode and acquiring Ogien, a fire elemental.
