About

My First Quantum Translocator is a puzzle platformer about a character participating in an experiment to test the futuristic device the Quantum Translocator 4300. The game takes place in a lab, made up our of many single-screen rooms where fast-paced puzzle platforming is required to progress. There is also a story element to the game as a controller called Steve talks to the character during the experiment.

The core game mechanic allows the player to have the character drop a quantum shadow at any moment and then teleport back to it at any time, but with a slight cooldown. This can for instance by used to avoid getting hit by a moving barrier: the player drops a shadow and moves the character back to the left, waits for the moving barrier to pass it and then teleports quickly to get past the barrier. It can also be used in quick succession to cross gaps and climb heights as both inertia and momentum can be used to gain speed and move faster. Many other platforming elements are introduced later on, such as simplified controls and bouncy pads that provide extra speed.

There are more than 30 levels in totals, some non-linear parts with easter eggs and multiple endings.
