About

Missile Defense is a variant of the Atari arcade game Missile Command. Like in the arcade game, the player is tasked with protecting six cities against a foreign missile attack. To do so, three missile defense bases are used to shoot down the enemy attacks before they hit any of the cities. Aiming is done by moving a crosshair over the screen while each of the three missile bases can be fired individually. The missiles will explode upon reaching the crosshair target and any enemy missile within its blast radius will be destroyed. Each base has a limited amount of ammo and when all used up, it cannot be used until the level has been completed. A level is completed when all enemy missiles have been destroyed and the player will then be given bonus points based on how many cities have survived. When all cities have been destroyed, the game is over.
