Mighty Switch Force! Academy

Mighty Switch Force! Academy is a prequel to the original Mighty Switch Force!. Patricia Wagon is a student at the Planet Land Police Academy, and she must prove to her instructor, Corporal Gendarmor, that she has what it takes to be a police officer. To do this, she must pass a series of holographic tests.

Gameplay is most similar to the first Mighty Switch Force! game, with Patty using a gun and rounding up holographic replicas of the Hooligan Sisters. Puzzles are often used to progress, such as destroying robots to open doors and using precision timing to send Patty flying in various directions by switching rocket blocks on just as she passes through them. Unlike previous games, there are often open voids on the top, bottom, and sides of screens, and passing through them will bring Patricia to the opposite side of the screen, much like early arcade games. After all the holograms are rounded up, Patty must make it to Corporal Gendarmor to complete the level. Levels are timed, and making the par time adds another optional challenge.

The game was released on Steam's Early Access on Aug 25, 2015. It is currently in beta form.
