About

Math Rescue is a side-scrolling platformer very similar to Word Rescue. Numbers are disappearing all over the world, from speed limit signs to paychecks, stolen by weird creatures called Gruzzles. The player has discovered, however, that by pointing at the Gruzzles, a giant butterfly will appear to dump slime on them.

When starting a game, the player can choose between a boy or girl character, difficulty, operations (add/subtract/multiply/divide), and amount of word problems (none, half, all, or skip the math completely). In game, the player will find various math problems scattered around the level. If the player touches one, a math problem will be shown, and the player needs to touch numbers to create the answer. By answering enough math problems correctly, the exit door will be opened. Gruzzles roam the level, but can be slimed. Touching a Gruzzle will reduce the player's health (represented by garbage can lids), and falling down a pit will cause the player to restart the level.

Math Rescue was distributed as shareware, with the shareware version only including episode 1.
