About
Set in the Mass Effect universe, Mass Effect Galaxy describes an episode in the perilous life of a new human ally in the then upcoming Mass Effect 2, Jacob Taylor, a biotic-powered super-soldier, along with Miranda, an Alliance spy. Jacob tries to prevent a heinous attack on civilization's greatest beacon of hope, the mighty Citadel space station, which was planned to knock humanity off the galactic stage. The game is composed of two parts: top-down arcade-style combat and multiple choice conversations.
The Combat part includes using the accelerometer to move the character, tapping enemies on screens to lock aim of the assault rifle on them and to auto-fire until the target is dead, and selecting one of three biotic powers available such as stasis to freeze enemies, heavy weapon rocket launcher to launch rockets, and tech talent overload to shut down enemy shields.
The Conversation part allows the player to see characters in comics-style third-person view, to hear their voices, to choose a topic, and to follow the path of paragon or renegade to progress in the game.
