About

Mandew vs the Colorless Curse is a Super Mario Bros.-style hop 'n' bop platformer mimicking the aesthetic of the original Game Boy handheld, and specifically referencing Super Mario Land.

Mandew wakes up in a strange colorless world, and guided by the spirit he must find the four golden consoles to break the curse and escape back to his own world.

Mandew controls very similarly to Mario, being able to run and jump he can defeat enemies by jumping on top of them, and can also grab one of several different power-ups that give him special abilities, including breaking blocks, throwing fireballs, and floating in the air.

One hit from an enemy or hazard is enough to defeat Mandew if he does not have a power-up—if a power-up is equipped the power-up will instead be lost.

The game contains 17 levels, divided into four themed worlds, with each world ending with a battle against the boss that guards one of the golden consoles.

In addition to the main story mode, the game also contains Trial mode, for replaying specific stages for a record, and Race mode, where the goal is to complete the entire game as quickly as possible.
