Madotsuki's Closet

Madotsuki's Closet is an autobiographical narrative game about the author's fascination with Yume Nikki fan theories and how it led to their realization that they are transgender. The player controls a small, pixelated avatar that can touch certain objects or characters to activate dialogue text or progress the narration, written in first person by the author as themselves. The author relates personal experiences, dramaticized chat logs, and their own theories and analysis of Yume Nikki throughout the game.
