Lynne

Lynne is a dark kinetic novel featuring Lynn and Lynne as main protagonist and main antagonist. Lynn, your 'average' fifteen year old schoolgirl copes with several anxiety disorders, a form of depression and possibly also schizophrenia.

She lives together with her older sister Jas, a girl who became pregnant and is far from a role model for her little sister. Lynn often has pretty bad nightmares where she is a girl Lynne. A girl who looks a lot like her, but is more perfect in every single way. Lynn's stress becomes bigger and bigger as she lives out her life.

Her 'friend' Susie on her school is someone she hangs out with. Susie however, only sees Lynn as a girl that's the perfect tool to look even more perfect herself, as when walking together, she would stand out even more, due to them being quite the opposites. Lynn is pretty introvert.

Having to succeed in school, Susie and Jas pressing her to do live more, the pressure by her parents, and the fact that she has to deal with anxiety disorders, all end up in her coming to a breaking point. She fails her math test and flees to the train station. Here, she has another nightmare where she encounters Lynne, and Lynne addresses her directly. Lynn becomes so enraged she starts pushing and hitting her, and eventually murdering her by slamming her head against the pavement, over and over.

This ending is a metaphor, the game doesn't explain for what though. It could be a metaphor for her defeating her schizophrenia or overcoming part of her depression. It could mean she has overcome one of her anxiety disorders by failing her math test, accepting she'll never be the perfect girl everyone wants her to be, and also doesn't want to. Or it could be a metaphor for her committing suicide.
