About
Luxuria Superbia is a game about pleasure and sensuality. The game consists of multiple environments accessed through flowers of different colours from a garden. A game session shows a tunnel-like environment where the player, not visible on the screen, travels through. The tunnel walls contain buds. When they are touched or clicked, they are given colour and the environment transforms, introducing objects. There are also cold buds that remove all colour from the walls. The player's interaction and speed determine the reaction of the environment, changing the scenery, speed and music. Messages also appear encouraging the player or giving tips, often with a flirtatious tone.
The goal of the game is to get as far as possible, opening buds and eventually collecting seeds. A level is split up into different sections that are reached as soon as one of three discs appears on the screen. On a mobile device, multiple fingers can be used and the game tracks movement, tapping, sliding, touch and speed. When going too fast, the level ends in a premature climax. In the top left of the screen progress and the delight score (graphically represented by gradually filling discs) are shown. To get as far as possible, the player needs to react to the feedback and alter the interaction accordingly. In the climax section the buds can be tapped or clicked to make them explode.
Flowers are unlocked gradually from the central garden as soon as at least one disc is achieved in a level. On PC and OUYA the game can be played cooperatively with a friend. The PC version also contains enhanced visual elements.
