About

Lost in Night is a match-3 game with 3 modes. While there is no explicit story, by completing levels, the player will earn gold, which can be used to build the Night Town. Each house looks different, and is built over multiple steps. The houses don't have any in-game effects.

Levels in the game can be either on a square or hexagonal grid. Modes include Swap (standard match-3 rules), Group (choose a group of matching tiles to destroy them), and Chain (draw a line through matching tiles to destroy them). The other game rules will not be modified, no matter what mode is in effect. There is also a Snail Blitz mode. Here, gold earned in-game can be gambled on one of 5 snails in a race.

The goal of each level is to destroy all marked grid spaces. These have a colored background, and can be destroyed by making a match on that space. In addition, there are chained spaces (these have a piece on them, and can be unchained by making a match with that piece), and boxes (these are pieces that cannot be used in a match, but can be destroyed with an adjacent match). There are power-ups, including the hammer (destroy one tile), bombs (destroy nearby pieces), magnets (destroy all tiles of one type), row-exploders (destroy a row) and fluid (destroy a large number of pieces at random).
