About

Lord of Vermilion is set in a world composed of several worlds brought together after the great collapse, an event caused by humans trying to control the Vermilion Stone's magic, Arcana. War has broken out between the lands, each possessing one of six Arcana. The player takes on the role of a male or female warrior who is in possession of the seventh Arcana, and, with the help of Dux, a mentor who seems to know a lot about the Arcana, is seeking to gather all seven Arcana in order to restore order to the world.

Lord of Vermilion is a card game with the goal of destroying the opponent's Arcana stones. By placing cards on the arcade play surface, the player controls an avatar who can be trained and equipped to have higher stats, and has up to four units (including the avatar) on play at a time. The player can attack the opponent's belonging (arcane crystals, the search eye, the crystal shield or gates) by sending units in the corresponding area. If enemy units are present, however, they must be defeated instead. The battlefield is shown in third-person perspective, with the units moving and attacking in real-time.
