LOCALHOST is a free 2D text-based, choice-driven game. The game can be controlled via mouse.

The game world is set in a cybertech world of machine governance where the repair trade is a noble pursuit.

It is the first day for player character on a new job in a repair shop. The boss calls very early in the morning telling the character they have a emergency to repurpose some drivers from a client which means to delete and reformat them.

According to the boss, on these drives are only synthetic programs which emulate a personality and pretend to be like a human. To access the "ghost" of these drives they must be put in in an artifical robot body with audio and video capabilities, called personal assistant gynoid model.

The player can then talk to the "ghost" of these drives and should find a way to unlock the drive so it can be deleted. It is the decision of the player to decide what to do.
