A simple 2D fighting game with the style of a scrolling beat-em up, with one huge twist - rather than one-on-one action, there can be up to eight characters on screen at once, for all-on-all or team action (you could even have 7 on 1 if you really wanted).
Using simple controls (block, jump and attack), the player controls one of the 10 main characters (or one of the 7 enemy characters from "Stage Mode" - more on that later) to bash, throw and slash through the opposition. Every so often weapons, crates and healing drinks drop from the sky, creating even more mayhem on screen. Each character has their own range of four or five special moves to complement their normal attacks and the many weapons that can be found and used, and there are numerous parallax-scrolling backdrops to fight in front of - indeed, the game provides templates to make your own, should you be so inclined (there's also a character editor for the particularly imaginative).
There are three modes to the game - Vs. mode, where you choose up to 8 characters, either human or PC controlled, create teams if you so wish, and then fight; Championship mode where a series of one-on-one fights take place in a tournament, knocking out each loser until only the victor is left, and Stage mode, which is a true scrolling beat-em-up, where you can choose to play alone or with up to 7 allies as you take on the massed computer opponents.
