About
Leo's Fortune is a 2.5D side-scrolling platform game with puzzle elements where Leopold, who looks like a weepul with a giant mustache, has to find back the gold that has been stolen from him. The game consists of five acts with 24 levels in total. Leo moves through the levels by sliding. The movement speed is determined by the player and can be used to jump, using the environment to launch him. Many of the puzzles are physics based and Leo can inflate himself, for instance to make him weigh less on a tilting platform, to float or to gain speed. In some scenes there are twisting parts that can be completed at a high speed similar to the earlier Sonic games. By diving down, platforms can be used as a trampoline to gain height. In many scenes objects needs to be manipulated to create a path or they need to be pushed to activate other elements.
Along the way Leo can collect gold coins. Gaps, saws, rolling boulders and spikes lead to instant death, but he respawns right away and there is an unlimited amount of lives. There are also levels where Leo needs to complete vertical sections, floating in the wind similar to some Rayman levels. Next to the twenty basic levels, there are four bonus levels and a more difficulty hardcore mode. For each level up to three stars can be earned based on the collected gold, the number of deaths and the completion time.
The PC, PS4 and Xbox One versions are re-mastered in 1080p.
