Legend

In Legend a commander is sent by his old king to protect the kingdom from his sworn enemies. The player controls the commander to go through a number of stages trying to reach the end. Alternate paths can be taken in some stages. Soldiers can be recruited by bribing them with a limited supply of money in the inventory. Other enemies are influenced by money bags. Any weapons picked up along the way are equipped to help the soldiers fight better. The player can hold a maximum of twelve items in the inventory. Fighting enemies can earn rewards, but also degrade the health of the soldiers, so the player has to strategically decide whether to fight or dodge opponents that come on the screen. If an enemy touches the commander, a life is lost.
