About

Koyotl was a free to play browser based MMORPG dungeon crawler, developed by Jo-Mei Games and published by upjers. Players took on the role of an animal warrior, engaging in combat against monsters in dungeons, and other players in PvP arenas. Progression involved the continuous upgrading of their armor, tools, as well as their fighting attacks. The game featured a turn based combat system, with players fighting using their tools, and attacks which used up Mana points. Mana points were a core strategic elment, as they depleted based on the attack used, making players cautious on which attacks to use during a fight. The game's map was level based, meaning there were loading screens between each kind of map. The levels included forests, lava and acid filled dungeons, and more. The game was released in April 2011, and was later shut down in October 2018, 7 years after the launch of the game.
