Kizuna Encounter: Super Tag Battle

Kizuna Encounter is the sequel to Savage Reign and pits the masters of Fuun-Ken (a new martial art that blends hand-to-hand with ranged combat) against each other once again in a fighting tournament.

As the original, the game plays as a 2D side-scrolling fighting game, in which you select your characters and fight all opponents in two-round fights for ultimate supremacy. The sequel removes the different horizontal planes of the original and thus the ranged combat is somewhat restrained, but as the title implies, Kizuna Encounter adds tag-teaming to the gameplay mechanics. Instead of choosing one fighter, you select a team of two and can switch between each character whenever you feel like it mid-fight.
