Killer Queen

Killer Queen is a 10-player strategy game that pits two teams of five players against each other in a direct head-to-head battle. The players assume the role of a bee-like creature, either a worker or a queen. The workers are responsible for collecting berries and bringing them back to their hive, or riding the snail that crawls on the board. Workers that bring a berry to a winged gate on the board are upgraded to warriors, gaining the ability to kill other players but losing the ability to collect berries or ride the snail. The most important role is the queen, who can attack other players and change the color of gates to their own team's shade, blue or gold. If the queen is killed three times that team loses. The other two victory conditions are for players to either fill their hive with berries, or for a worker to ride the snail into their team's basket.

With so many players involved Killer Queen requires a lot of planning and communication, leading to the formation of dedicated sports leagues and tournaments, including the developer's own BumbleBash national competition.
