About
Jewel Quest Mysteries: Curse of the Emerald Tear is a hidden object game with match-three mini-games. Like most seek-and-find titles, the main objective is to find and click on the required objects from a list at the left side of the screen, within a time limit. Besides the objects, there are coins hidden that give extra hints, and jewels scattered on the scenery that can be collected and spent later on upgrades.
The player has to solve a puzzle grid at the start of each stage, where the goal is to place golden geometric pieces on it to fill all the slots. There's a tile-matching mini-game at the end of each chapter, where gems have to be matched in groups of three or more to turn the background squares to gold.
The upgrades can be purchased at the end of each chapter. Intuition gives another slot for holding extra hints. Journal Study starts each chapter with more hints. Jewel Sense makes the cursor glimmer when near a jewel. Preparation adds two minutes to the overall time. Jewel Board turns five squares from the puzzle grid into gold.
