About
January is a short interactive experience. The player controls a character walking outside through the snow. Snowflakes float down gradually. By sticking his tongue out and looking up, the character can catch the flakes on his tongue. This triggers a short, randomized sound. It uses a set of predefined musical rules to make choices about what the next note (or notes) will be, but as the shape/size of the flake determines the type of sound, the player has a choice. The screen scrolls horizontally as the scene progresses and flakes gradually appear in larger numbers, forming a soundscape. The game stops when a house is reached and after a single walk it is over.
