Into the Deep

Your mission is to enter a network of caverns on a remote planet and rescue the survivors from the crashed spaceship, Colonial Expedition 901. You control a rescue vessel dispatched from your Mothership and search the caverns over various levels. The game is a horizontal scrolling shooter with the screen scrolling to the left or right when you move your vessel. Although you are able to hit the sides of the caverns, you must avoid gates, or shoot or avoid the various obstacles like meteors and other objects, as touching these drain your shield gauge. Once your shield gauge has emptied then you lose one of three lives. To progress to the next level you must collect a certain amount of survivors before returning back to the Mothership to fill your shield gauge and on to the next level.
