About
Infinite Crisis was a MOBA with DC Comics superheroes. It was launched on 26th March 2015 and shut down on 14th August 2015. The game is loosely based on the 2005-2006 comic book storyline of the same name.
As a MOBA game, Infinite Crisis has champions battle in the arena with the goal of destroying towers and finally the main base (Power Core) of the enemy team. Heroes are supported by robotic minions. Defending towers target minions first and then once all minions are defeated they target the heroes. Some heroes' abilities allowed for the use objects in the environment as weapons. It is also possible to pick some abilities that are not typical to the chosen superhero.
The game uses a two-lane map with special areas, power relays. If these are captured they grant stronger minions for the team. This map was initially the only one available to play, the standard three lane MOBA map and other maps were to be unlocked once the game reached the necessary amount of players. Later on the game added Crime Alley (one player versus the AI), Gotham Divided (5 vs. 5, 3 lanes), Gotham Heights (5 vs. 5, designed as a circle with 5 control points) and Coast City (5 vs. 5, 2 lanes).
The heroes level up the more players play using them and gain extra abilities or boosts. Players level up as well and can unlock abilities to add to their heroes in the form of kits that offer boosts to heroes statistics. The game is free-to-play and new heroes and skins for heroes are available for sale using the in-game currency, bought with real money.
