About

Hungry Horace is a single-player arcade-style maze game. The game follows Horace, a mischievous character whose appetite leads him into a park patrolled by guards determined to stop him from collecting flowers and food scattered across each level. The player’s goal is to guide Horace through a succession of mazes while avoiding capture, gathering every item on the screen, and escaping through an exit once the maze is cleared.

Gameplay draws clear inspiration from Pac-Man, with Horace pursued by multiple enemies at once. Each maze consists of twisting corridors, side paths, and wrap-around tunnels that allow movement from one side of the screen to the other. Unlike most games of this style, the player cannot simply clear the screen by eating all the objects. After the last item is collected, Horace must still reach the exit, requiring careful planning to avoid being trapped by the guards.

Each level contains a single “power pill” that briefly turns the tables, allowing Horace to chase and scare away his pursuers for points. As the game progresses, the number and speed of the enemies increase, and the layouts of the mazes become more complex.
