About

In Homeland Defense: National Security Patrol the player constructs and manages a post at the Mexican/American border. The main goal is to stop smugglers and border jumpers while staying in budget. As with most games of this kind the player has an empty space to his disposal where he constructs the infrastructure, e.g. command centers or surveillance buildings, which are needed for equipment and training the agents.

Each agent has six stats, e.g. intelligence or honesty, which influence their abilities, e.g. dog handling or healing. These abilities can be improved by training them - but of course they are not available for duty during that time. The player assigns tasks to each agent, either permanent ones like patrol routes or alert status or actions like healing or shooting. The game is played in real-time and after every day the player receives an info sheet about his performance and the threats of the next day. There are three locations for free playing and twelve missions where the player has to reach certain goals.
