Higurashi no Naku Koro ni: Tatarigoroshi-hen

Higurashi no Naku Koro ni: Tatarigoroshi-hen is the third release in the Higurashi: When They Cry visual novel series. It includes parts 1, 2, and 3 of the novel: "Onikakushi-hen", "Watanagashi-hen" and "Tatarigoroshi-hen".

It is a simple visual novel without branching paths or choices, where the player simply advances the text to read the story. After finishing each chapter, the player unlocks a number of optional bonus scenes called "TIPS".

The protagonist in "Tatarigoroshi-hen" is Keichii Maebara, a teenage boy who has recently moved into the remote Japanese village of Hinamizawa. Keichii quickly develops a close friendship with a group of schoolgirls and joins their game club. However, these fun days come to an end when an abusive uncle of one of Keiichi's friends returns to the village.
