Hide The Corpse

Hide The Corpse is a first-person virtual reality puzzle game that combines dark slapstick humor with time-based environmental challenges. The player is placed in a series of increasingly absurd scenarios where they must conceal the body of a man named Gus before the police arrive. Each level gives the player four minutes to dispose of the corpse, eliminate all evidence of Gus's presence, and remove their own fingerprints from the scene to earn the highest possible rank.

Gameplay emphasizes physical interaction and improvisation within fully explorable environments. Players can grab, drag, and manipulate Gus’s ragdoll body, whose realistic weight and floppy physics add both difficulty and comedy to the process of hiding him. Potential hiding spots range from mundane locations like sofas and closets to over-the-top settings such as a spaceship reactor. In addition to concealing the body, players must locate and hide Gus’s personal items, such as his ID or sunglasses, and scrub away fingerprints using cleaning tools scattered throughout the area. Each action consumes valuable time, forcing players to balance efficiency and thoroughness under pressure.

The game has a 1970s-inspired aesthetic with exaggerated colors, patterns, and character designs as well as a groovy funk soundtrack. Success in each mission unlocks additional costumes and levels.
