Heroine's Quest: The Herald of Ragnarok

Heroine's Quest: The Herald of Ragnarok is a tribute game to Sierra's classic Quest for Glory series. You play as a female adventurer, who was ambushed by trolls and woke up in the local Adventure Guild. Waking up, you sign the local logbook and learn that the local village is suffering from an unnatural winter, food is getting scarce and trolls more aggressive. Some say it is but a prelude to the end of the world - Ragnarok. The Frost Giants are looking for ways to free their leader, the devious trickster Loki, and then they will try to march against both man and gods. This place is in a desperate need of a hero. And congratulations, you just got the job. Good luck.

You play as one of three basic classes: warrior, sorceress and rogue. You can also create a mixed character by combining different class-specific skills in character creation. Each class will have class-specific events and quests. You develop your character by practicing your individual skills; each used skill will advance that specific skill a few points. The UI is in a classic Sierra adventure style: you have your "walk", "touch", "mouth", "look", "inventory" and class-specific skill icons. The game has day/night and NPC schedules, the NPCs will be living their own lives and be in different places at different times. The game also has a survival element to it, as you need to protect your character from starvation and cold.
