About
Heartbreak Land is a horror game disguised as a simple minigame collection. The game randomly switches between four minigames: A game where you select buttons to hit an enemy and block before it hits you, a game where you aim a reticle to shoot falling targets, a game where you control a little girl catching falling apples in her basket, and a game where you can draw freely.
Gradually, the games start exhibiting visual glitches and a bizarre, grotesque image starts appearing alongside the minigames. The glitches, images, and rate of minigame switching speed up exponentially as the game produces electronic beeps ("help" in morse code) and appears to "crash" a few times before showing the credits screen. A few seconds later, the player's entire monitor rapidly starts filling up with red eye images, which all disappear after pressing a few buttons.
Several seconds later, after the game seems to have closed, a large image of the girl from the apple collecting minigame appears suddenly, following the player's mouse. If the player presses the escape key, they can choose to say "yes" or "no." Saying "yes" leads to an ending where four drawings are shown.
