About
Halo: Spartan Strike is the sequel to Halo: Spartan Assault. Once again the player takes on the role of a Spartan and replays some vital previously classified operations that took place in part during the events of Halo 2.
When during the battle of New Mombasa an artifact is stolen by the Covenant it is initially considered lost, until years later a signal is picked up. In thirty missions across five campaigns the player must try to stop the Covenant and Promethean forces from enacting their evil schemes which could threaten planet Earth.
This top down twin stick shooter plays similarly to its predecessor but with improved controls, increased graphical detail and new locations, weapons, abilities, vehicles and enemies. New vehicles include the Warthog and the Kestrel VTOL.
Like the previous game the player can earn stars for completing missions and use these stars to purchase one-time super weapons and abilities for tackling difficult missions. In addition "skulls" can be applied to modify the difficulty of a mission. Weekly challenges and specific challenges for each level that allow the player to unlock additional rewards.
Unlike the console version of its predecessor, Spartan Strike does not feature multiplayer content.
