Hakuoki: Warriors of the Shinsengumi

Hakuoki: Warriors of the Shinsengumi is an action game based on the Hakuoki series of visual novels. It features the six men who could be pursued by the female protagonist as playable characters, including the five Shinsengumi captains (Hijikata, Saito, Okita, Heisuke, and Harada) and Hijikata's arch-rival, Kazama. Included are three different gameplay modes: Shinsengumi Memorial, where the story of Hakuoki: Demon of the Fleeting Blossom can be played from the perspective of one of Chizuru's love interests; Shinsengumi Chronicle, which tells a "what if" story created specifically for the game; and Skirmish Mode, giving the player the freedom to revisit a completed stage to level up or obtain higher scores. Also included are cutscenes from the Hakuōki ~Shinsengumi Kitan~ anime series and Fury Mode, unleashed when one's health is fully-depleted to wreak havoc on unsuspecting foes.
