About
In the sequel to Gunman Clive, a large war robot wreaks havoc upon the town and our hero has to track him all over the world.
Gunman Clive 2 is a side-scrolling platform shooter, using a sketchbook-styled look. Running, jumping, ducking and shooting you have to defeat enemies, dodge traps and traverse other obstacles such as gravitation fields. Enemies can sometimes drop weapon powerups, such as a spread shot and a high-damage rocket, and cake slices to restore hit points. These can also be found in the levels in certain places.
There are infinite lives, but if you run out of health you have to start the stage over. Every few stages you have to defeat a larger boss enemy, which typically can only be defeated by observing its pattern and attacking a colored weak point.
In addition to Clive, there are two other playable characters: Ms. Johnson and Chieftain Bob. Ms. Johnson can't run and shoot at the same time, but can float mid-air, while Chieftain Bob cannot shoot at all, attacking with only a short range spear, but does more damage to enemies.
A new addition is 3D flying and riding stages somewhat similar to Star Fox, where you move into the screen and have to dodge bullets and obstacles while trying to shoot bad guys.
