About
GeneRally is a freeware, top-down racing game, mixing arcade-like gameplay similar to Ivan "Iron Man" Stewart's Super Off Road with more realistic elements such as damage and a limited fuel reserve that cause players to use pit stops.
The game is played on a large amount of tracks shown on a fixed, single screen. Up to six offline players can participate at the same time, or computer-controlled cars can be added. Their expertise can be adjusted and the colour design can be altered. There are only four keys to control a vehicle (accelerate, brake/reverse, left and right) and cars can slide through corners, jump and there are also elevated sections or areas flooded with water.
Players can create their own championships by selecting a number of tracks, or play single races. The game also includes an editor where new tracks can be created and shared with other users.
