About

Funfair is a 1-player arcade game for the BBC Micro.

The player controls a gun that moves horizontally at the side of the screen, while trying to hit a series of horizontally-moving targets. The goal on each level is to clear the screen of ducks, rabbits, and teddy bears. The player has a limited number of bullets each level, so must shoot carefully.

Occasionally ducks will release from their pegs and fly down. If they reach the bottom of the screen they eat five bullets. If a duck is hit in the body it is destroyed, but if shot in the wing it descends faster. Extra bullets can be gained by shooting the numbers that scroll past or shooting the bullets that appear in the special box to the left of the screen. To prevent more ducks from joining the rows the player must shoot the bell at the right of the screen by hitting the slider below it.

If a level is cleared, then the player enters a bonus screen where the player must shoot through moving screens. Each level has faster-moving enemies.
