Fairy Tale Mysteries: The Puppet Thief

Fairy Tale Mysteries: The Puppet Thief is a hidden object game. As a new Brothers Grimm examiner, the player has been sent to track down a mysterious puppeteer who has been capturing the souls of children. The town has formed into an angry mob unlikely to pick the correct target for their anger, The Silver Magician (the player's contact in the city) is unable to help because his daughter is missing, and the puppeteer is a formidable magician able to interfere directly with the player.

Gameplay follows the standard hidden object formula. The hidden object scenes ask the player to find objects given their name, with a recharging hint meter to assist. Between hidden object scenes, inventory-based puzzles as well as more traditional puzzles exist. Puzzles include swapping tiles to restore the original picture to open a door, and finding the clues to set the correct combination on a lock. A journal will keep track of clues collected over time. Difficulty levels are customizable, including providing sparkles on interactive elements, and the speed of hint recharging.
