About
In the tenth expansion in the EverQuest series, you travel through a bleak new area, when an expedition of Qeynosian miners breaches the entrance to a place called Dreadspirekeep, while the battle between Firiona Vie and Lanys T'Vyl still has the land in its grasp.
As usual, there are many new enemies, missions, raids, events, items, abilities and skills. A novel addition is the monster missions, in which the roles are reversed and you assume the shape of a creature, without your equipment or abilities. Certain areas, such as the Nektulos Forest, have also been re-envisioned.
You can assign Spirit Shrouds, which envelope your character in any creature at any level below your own, to make use of their special abilities. As a fairy, you can quickly become an important healer, or as an orc, you can strengthen the party. This solves problems for parties with trusted members that lack a certain class to progress more quickly in the game, and it also allows you to join a low-level group on a quest, while earning experience for your real level.
The game is available through Sony's Station Store as a digital download, or as a retail boxed version. The box includes postcards designed by Larry Elmore, and a unique in-game item: Clockwork Boar mount.
