Europa Universalis II: Asia Chapters feature everything the original Europa Universalis II has. In addition it has an expanded content, 6 new Asian campaigns and new events focused on the grand Asian campaigns as well as map changes have been done to it.

New historic opinions and views are available, that have global implications but are not commonly accepted views of Asian history outside of the continent, for instance, the Treasure Fleet campaign takes the view that China has already explored much of the world.
