About

Enigmash is a puzzle game with pixel graphics inspired by Mega Mash. It incorporates some mechanics based on Soko-Ban. It consists of different small areas strung together where puzzles based on moving boxes need to be solved to progress. Four keys are used to move around, one performs an action and another can be used to undo moves. There are automatic checkpoints and an area can be restarted right away.

There is a twist as areas often consist of multiple partitions with different properties. In one part a top-down or bird's eye view is used with the ability to push a box freely, while crossing a border into a next partition transforms it right away into a side-view affair which affects gravity: now you cannot push a block upwards, but you are now able to jump. Blocks can be moved and used across borders and the player needs to arrange them properly, using each partition's properties to solve the puzzles.

The difficulty ramps up when in addition to gravity, teleporting tiles are introduced that change the partition and its properties without crossing a border. Later this is expanded when the behaviour of the character and the blocks can be altered.
