English Country Tune

English Country Tune is an abstract puzzle game with puzzles both in 2D and 3D. It contains 17 worlds that are unlocked gradually and each world holds a set of levels with different mechanics and rules. The player controls a blue tile that can be moved around a board-like environment. Most levels require the player to clear a board by removing certain elements or moving elements to a specific location. This is described as "bringing larvae into an incubator" or "removing whales" for instance. Each world has different rules and restrictions, and most puzzles require a lot of trial-and-error before the solution is discovered. Sometimes the player exercises only indirect influence, while in other levels objects can be pushed around.

Most worlds have an "advanced" variant where the basic mechanics of a world are explored further, but in 3D instead of 2D. In those levels it is possible to rotate the board in any direction to study it closely. Moves can be undone an unlimited amount of times and the entire board can also be reset. Question marks sometimes provide clues about the possibilities. Many elements are rendered abstractly and sound plays an important role in the general atmosphere.
