About

Dwarfs!? is a indie casual title about the perils of the deep when Dwarfs dig into them. Presented with an overhead 2D view of a dwarf outpost, the player acts as an overseer who tries to direct (and save where possible) the otherwise mindlessly digging dwarfs in their quest for gold and other treasures. The diggers move randomly, but the player can draw arrows to point them towards the right target, although the arrows cost money.

Digging into the caverns, the dwarfs can uncover hidden treasure, but also peril: water, lava and monsters. Water and lava spills throughout the underground, killing dwarfs and if it reaches the main base, the game is over. The player can set down walls to stop the flow, and surround the flooded areas with unbreakable rock to prevent hapless diggers from triggering the flood anew. Monsters, such as goblins and spiders, roam the corridors and attack dwarfs they come across. While the diggers can defend themselves, the player can train and deploy soldiers to better defend himself against the monsters. Outposts can be also built throughout the dungeon, where the player can train new soldiers and diggers far away from the base.

The main mode is split between a few tutorials, challenges and a randomly generated world each time you play. The game also features online and local rankings/leader boards as well as several other game modes including Tower Defense and Sandbox (where you can create and modify the world).
