Dreader

Dreader is a first-person horror game. The player has no direct control over the camera, as it is focused on an in-game computer monitor.

The player character is sitting in front of a desktop computer when they receive a message containing a program titled "./maze". In this program (which is thematically akin to a dungeon-crawling RPG), the player navigates tunnels using the mouse. If the mouse touches a wall, the level starts over. As they progress, startling events occur inside the maze game and in the player character's surroundings.
