About
Dragon Castle: The Board Game is an adaptation of the board game based on Mahjong Solitaire. During their turn, players can choose between three options. The first one is to take a tile from the top layer of the central castle and an identical one from anywhere else in this pile, and place them inside their personal realm, As in the original Mahjong game, these tiles need to have at least one long edge free. The second option is to take one tile from the top layer, and one shrine. The third possibility is to take one tile from the top layer, discard it, and earn a point.
Tiles on a player's realm board that match by color, are consolidated, flipped over and points are scored based on the size of this collection. Afterwards, shrines can be placed on them, which earn points at the end of the game based on the height of the tiles under them. It is also possible to sacrifice shrines to activate special abilities through Spirit cards. Dragon cards on the other hand are a way of scoring bonus points.
