Delta Force: Xtreme 2

Unlike its predecessor, Delta Force: Xtreme 2 is a completely original installment of the Delta Force series featuring two campaigns with five missions each during which Team Bravo hunts down a drug lord called "Desert Rat".

To deal with the 100+ enemies scattered around each of the very large maps, the player has access to 20 faithful recreations of modern weaponry ranging from pistols over assault guns and rifles to RPGs. In addition various types of grenades wait to be used for the greater good. At the beginning of each mission, the player chooses his weapon's loadout and is only able to change it once he gets killed. Once killed in single-player, he respawns at the most recent checkpoint. In multiplayer he can instead choose from multiple checkpoints depending on the success of his team in holding them. As opposed to the previous installments of the series, all the driveable vehicles in the game now regenerate health automatically when not shot at, as does the player.

Multiplayer features five game modes, including King of the Hill and Team Deathmatch, that are played out on more than 40 different maps with up to 150 players. In addition a co-op mode is available in which the single-player campaign can be played through with friends. Also included is a Mission Editor allowing the players to design their own levels and missions.
