Deathsmiles II: Makai no Merry Christmas

Christmas has arrived in Gilverado, and the angels are busily readying the land for their favourite holiday. On Christmas Eve, though, disaster strikes: the evil Santa Claws attacks and puts the land into disarray, so the angels have to take to the air once more to save the day. Like Deathsmiles, Deathsmiles II is a sidescrolling manic shooter with a unique gimmick where characters can change sides in order to take on enemies attacking from both directions. Two of the previous game's heroines, Windia and Casper, return as playable characters; this time, they're joined by newcomers Supe, a young girl inspired by Hans Christian Anderson's Little Match Girl, and Lei, a boy in drag. This is Cave's first arcade shooter using PC-based hardware with 3D graphics instead of the 2D sprites in their previous games.
