About

Deadheat Road is a highway drift racing game similar to Tokyo Highway Battle, which offers two courses — Tokyo Loop and Osaka Loop — and six cars to choose from. A unique feature for the time is the day-night cycle, as races are set at dawn and will progress from night to day as the race nears completion.

Three single-player game modes are available:

  • Deadheat Road mode is a series of races against computer-controlled opponents
  • Free Road lets the player freely drive around the course to practice certain sections
  • Trial Road is a solo time trial mode

Car decals can be customized, and best times are saved via memory card.
