Dark Chaser

Dark Chaser is a simple visual novel following the adventures of a knight as he descends into a fantasy dungeon in search of treasure. It's presented as a series of still images with very basic choose-your-own-adventure style input prompts.

This game is notable for being coded not as a native Mac/Windows game but as an interactive Photo CD. While the disc included Mac and Windows players, it was playable on any device that supported Video CD and Photo CD discs; this includes the CD-i (with Digital Video Card), Sega Saturn (with VCD card), 3DO (with MPEG module) and PC-FX.
